"Piazza del Popolo" shows two film stills, extracted from "The Belly of an Architect" (Peter Greenaway, 1987) and "My Own Private Idaho" (Gus Van Sant, 1991), framing Rome's Piazza del Popolo—and its "twin" churches Santa Maria dei Miracoli and Santa Maria di Montesanto—in an almost identical way. Below the images are penciled the time codes of their appearances in each film.
